Celebration & Ceremony

OUR FIRST CUSTOM CLOTHING EVENT FOR 2015 IS HERE!

Join us on Sunday, March 15th, to try on our new styles, explore our latest fabrics, and adorn your temple with custom fit garments perfect for festivals, fundraisers, meditation, yoga, gala events, getting groceries, travel, dinner out on the town, and everything in between. We have an extensive fabric library, including feminine lace and jacquard knits, sheer mesh and faux fur, animal and abstract prints, geometric crochet and burnout velvet, modal jersey in every color imaginable, the softest white and light colored fabrics for meditation clothing, and more. As always, Temple Ro only offers vegan fabrics, and we source sustainable, made in USA fabric whenever possible.

How it works:

1. Gather your favorite women and stop by the Temple Ro studio between 1-7pm PST.

2. Enjoy champagne, gluten-free treats, and good company.

3. Peruse fabric swatches and sample pants while having your measurements taken.

4. Fall in love with as many fabric/pant combos as you need to round out all aspects of your life, from celebration to ceremony.

5. Place your order and wait as patiently as possible for custom pants to arrive. If waiting becomes too uncomfortable, repeat Step 2 as many times as necessary.

Please bring the shoes you expect to wear with each look so we can get an accurate inseam measurement. If you have a color or texture you'd like to work with, please bring a swatch or sample so it can be matched.

If March 15th doesn't work with your schedule, The Temple Ro Atelier is always open for private appointments! Please contact us for a consultation, or schedule one at your convenience at www.templero.com/atelier.

All Temple Ro garments are sewn in San Francisco.

RSVP on Facebook or Eventbrite to reserve your spot!

See you there!

With love,

TR

Purpose Bags: February 2015

FARM SANCTUARY & NATIONAL MILL DOG RESCUE

Meet the recipients of our Purpose Bag donations for February, 2015!

Farm Sanctuary is an amazing organization working to end the suffering of animals all over the world. Their mission, from their website:

"To protect farm animals from cruelty, inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and promote compassionate vegan living."

As vegans and vegetarians ourselves, we can really get behind this organization. From education on factory farming, animal testing, and other animal rights issues, to hands on farms where people can interact with rescued farm animals, Farm Sanctuary is fighting for a more compassionate world and a balanced relationship between humans and animals.

Visit the Farm Sanctuary website for more info.

National Mill Dog Rescue totally blows our hearts open! Dog rescue is something very close to our hearts at Temple Ro, and National Mill Dog Rescue is really putting in work to help end the suffering of dogs bred in puppy mills. The NMDR mission, from their website:

"NMDR’s mission is to RESCUE, REHABILITATE and RE-HOME discarded breeding dogs and to educate the general public about the cruel realities of the commercial dog breeding industry."

Inspired by adopting a puppy mill mama dog named Lily, Theresa Strader vowed to make a change and founded NMDR in 2007. Since then they have rescued, rehabilitated, and rehomed over 9,000 mill dogs, and that number is climbing daily!

Visit the NMDR website to read Lily's story and learn more about this compassionate organization.

Paper Trash Bags & SF's Zero Waste Textile Initiative

San Francisco! Did you know that San Francisco residents send 4,500 pounds of textiles to the landfill every HOUR?! That's insane. Luckily, the Zero Waste Textile Initiative is available to help. There are now over 100 locations across the city where you can take items like unwanted clothes, shoes, and linens to keep them out of the landfill and give them a new life as insulation material, flooring, packaging, or cushioning in stuffed toys, insoles, and bags. Find a drop off location near you using this easy tool.

I've always tried to be mindful (maybe the correct term is obsessive...

POSITIVITY CHALLENGE 1: NO COMPLAINING

Good afternoon from Temple Ro HQ!

You may have seen the meme on social media that says "Go 24 hours without complaining. (Not even once.) Then watch how your life starts changing!" I created a Temple Ro version below in case you haven't seen one yet. In the spirit of exploring how our words become our reality, I challenge us all to try this out for a whole week and report back our experience in the comments.

I'm really excited to try this. I've noticed before that when I choose to keep my words positive, I feel better overall.
